| Significance
Tangier Grand Mosque is situated in Grand Socco (square) of Tangier, which is an important coastal town close to the Strait of Gibraltar in northern Morocco. The mosque was constructed during the reign of Moulay Ismail in 17th century and expanded in 1815 by Moulay Sliman.
