Significance
The complex of Shahbulag Castle was started by Panahali Khan (founder of Garabakh Khanate), near Shah’s Spring, 10 km away from Aghdam city. The complex was finished in 1751-1752. It is constructed with roughly-hewn stones. The castle represents one of the simplistic examples of the military architecture of Azerbaijan Khanates.

State of Preservation

Mosques, houses, public baths and a market was constructed within the Shahbulag Castle Complex. Only the castle on the hill and the mosque have survived up to this date.
